The ATS is designed to automatically transfer electrical loads in low voltage power distribution systems, providing stable and secure energy supply for commercial and industrial applications. By continuously monitoring the availability and quality of the main power source, the ATS ensures seamless switching to backup power when required.

The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), manufactured by Germarel in Germany (Europe), is designed to automatically transfer electrical loads between the utility (city grid) and generator power sources in case of a power failure or instability. ATS systems continuously monitor the availability of the main power supply. When the utility source fails or falls outside predefined limits, the ATS sends a command to start the generator and safely transfers the load to the backup power source. 
The ATS ensures safe, controlled and reliable power transfer, where a short interruption during switching is acceptable and expected in low voltage power distribution systems.
